MVS SMS Tab

This tab displays if you click the MVS tab on the CA-Top Secret account template or CA-Top Secret Acid property sheet. Seven additional MVS tabs allow you to specify other MVS information. This tab specifies SMS-specific restrictions and authorizations for the acid.

The fields in this tab are listed below:

Application ID

Specifies a default SMS application identifier for the acid. This field is equivalent to the SMSAPPL TSS command keyword. To designate a default SMS application for another acid, the administrator must have MISC2(SMS) authority.

If the value for ACSDEFAULTS is YES in the SMS ACS routine, the application information will be extracted from CA-Top Secret. If you do not use the input variables to ACS routines that are saved in CA-Top Secret, you should set this option to NO. This will save additional calls to CA-Top Secret during allocation processing.

Data Class

Specifies a default SMS data class for the acid. This field is equivalent to the SMSDATA TSS command keyword. To designate a default SMS data class for another acid, the administrator must have MISC2(SMS) authority.

Management

Specifies a default SMS management class for the acid. This field is equivalent to the SMSMGMT TSS command keyword. To designate a default SMS management class for another acid, the administrator must have MISC2(SMS) authority.

Storage Class

Specifies a default SMS storage class for the acid. This field is equivalent to the SMSSTOR TSS command keyword. To designate a default SMS storage class for another acid, the administrator must have MISC2(SMS) authority.
