Use this tab to specify the user name, NT Domain, password, and default database that will be in effect at login.
The fields in this tab are listed below:
Specifies the name of the login that will be granted access to the database.
Rule String: %AC%
This is a required field.
Specifies the name of the DB user that will be granted access to the database.
Specifies the password associated with the MS SQL Server login. This password is only for SQL authentication.
Size/Type: 128 characters
Confirms the password associated with the MS SQL Server login.
*For Accounts Only
When checked, specifies that the account is an exception account.
*For Accounts Only
Shows that the account is locked. An account is locked after two attempts to log in with an incorrect password. Uncheck this box to unlock the account.
Specifies that an NT user or group is allowed to connect to MS SQL Server.
Specifies that an SQL authentication is allowed.
Specifies which domain the login belongs to.
This is a required field only when Authentication Type NT is specified.
When NT Authentication is selected and Domain Name is selected as prefix, if the login name has no prefix, the login name is modified and the domain name is added as prefix
When NT Authentication is selected and Server Name is selected as prefix, if the login name has no prefix, the login name is modified and the server name is added as prefix.
Specifies that access to the SQL server is allowed.
This is a required field only when Authentication Type NT is specified.
Specifies that access to the SQL server is not allowed.
This is a required field only when Authentication Type NT is specified.
Specifies a unique value that identifies a user or a group of users who are logged on to the security system. The SID is generated by the system if no value is specified.
If a value is selected, the value must be all of the following:
Specifies the database that the user is connected to immediately after logging into MS SQL Server. If no value is specified, the default value is 'master'. Click the Browse button to search for and add a default database.
Specifies the language that MS SQL Server uses for errors and messages if a user does not specify a language. Each MS SQL Server login has a default language. If not value is specified, the default value is the language of the MS SQL Server.
Click the Browse button to search for and add a default language.
This is a required field.
Specifies whether the password is encrypted when stored in the system tables.
From the drop-down menu you can choose from the following values:
The password is encrypted.
The password is already encrypted. MS SQL Server stores the value without re-encrypting.
The supplied password was encrypted by a previous version of MS SQL Server. The value is stored without re-encryption.
