Privileges Tab
Use this tab to specify system administration options, such as ADSP.
The fields in this tab are listed below:
- System Administration
-
This group box consists of check boxes that define what the new user can do.
- Check Special if you want the new user to issue all IBM RACF commands with all operands except those that require the AUDITOR attribute.
Note: In order to change this operand, the user account that you used to log on to the MVS Option and to access your IBM RACF system must have the SPECIAL attribute assigned to it.
- Check Operations if you want the new user to perform maintenance operations on IBM RACF-protected data sets, tape volumes, and DASD volumes. This does not affect the IBM RACF-protected data sets, tape, and DASD volumes where the access list limits the new user to a lower access authority than the operation requires.
Note: In order to change this operand, the user account that you used to log on to the MVS Option and to access your IBM RACF system must have the SPECIAL attribute assigned to it.
- Check Auditor if you want the new user to have full responsibility for auditing the use of the system resources. This allows the user to control the logging of detected accesses to any IBM RACF-protected resources during authorization checking and to accesses in the IBM RACF database.
- Check ADSP if you want all permanent tape and DASD data sets created by the new user to be protected by discrete profiles.
- Check User Audit if you want the user tp perform a user audit.
