Account Tab

This tab displays if you click the Account Properties tab on the RACF Account Template property sheet. Use this tab to provide general information about the user and specify suspensions and new passwords.

The fields in this tab are listed below:

Account ID

Specifies the logon ID of the IBM RACF-defined user.

Rule String: %AC%

This is a required field.

User Name

Specifies the name of the IBM RACF-defined user.

Rule String: %UN%

Owner

Specifies an IBM RACF-defined user or group that is assigned as the owner of the RACF profile for the user being added. If you omit this operand, you are defined as the owner.

This is a required field.

Default Group

Specifies the IBM RACF defined group that is used as the default group for the user. If you do not specify a group, your current connect group becomes the default group for the user.

This is a required field.

Installation Data

Specifies up to 255 characters of installation-defined data to be stored in the user's profile. This data is available for pre- and post-processing exit routines.

Password

Specifies the user's password.

Password Interval

Specifies the number of days between password changes. The user must change the password the next time he or she logs on.

Password Changed

Displays the date when the password was last changed. Click the Calendar to change the date.

Exception Account

When checked, specifies that the account is outside the control of provisioning roles. The provisioning function “Check User Synchronization” will not report this account as extra, and therefore will not signal that this account should be deleted to bring the user in compliance with its provisioning roles.

Restricted

When checked, restricts the user's access to the MVS system. A RESTRICT command is generated that takes effect the next time the user tries to log on to the MVS system. If unchecked, the user's account is not restricted.

Revoked

When checked, the user's access to the MVS system is suspended. A REVOKE command is generated that takes effect the next time the user tries to log on to the MVS system. If unchecked, the user's account is not suspended.

Revoke Date

Specifies the last date that the user can use the IBM RACF managed system. The date must be a future date. Click the Calendar to change the date.

Resume Date

Specifies the first date that the user can log in and use the IBM RACF managed system again. The date must be a future date. Click the Calendar to change the date.
