User Tab

Use this tab to specify user information such as name, office, email, and web page addresses for the account.

The fields in this tab are listed below:

Display Name

Specifies the display name of the person who owns the account.

Rule String: %UN%

Size/Type: 256 characters

Restrictions: “ \ [ ] : ; | = + * ? < > @

This is a required field.

First Name

Specifies the first name of the person who owns the account.

Rule String: %UF%

Size/Type: 64 characters

Restrictions: “ / \ [ ] : ; | = + * ? < > @

Middle Initials

Specifies the middle initial of the person who owns the account.

Rule String: %UMI%

Note: Within an account template, you can use up to 64 characters if you are using rule strings. However, maximum characters for an account's initials is 6.

Size/Type: 6 characters (including a period)

Restrictions: “ / \ [ ] : ; | = + * ? < > @

This field is used by the X400 auto generated email addresses. The X400 auto generated email address does not allow non-UTF8 characters; and therefore, you should not use theses characters in this field.

Last Name

Specifies the last name of the person who owns the account.

Rule String: %UL%

Size/Type: 64 characters

Restrictions: “ / \ [ ] : ; | = + * ? < > @

Description

Specifies information about the user.

Rule String: %UD%

Size/Type: 1024 alphanumeric characters

Title

Specifies the title of the person who owns the account.

Rule String: %UT%

Office

Specifies the office of the person who owns the account.

Rule String: %UO%

Department

Specifies the department of the user who owns the account.

Rule String: %UDEPT%

Company

Specifies the company where the user works who owns the account.

Rule String: %UCOMP%

Employee Id

Specifies the ID of an employee.

Rule String: N/A

Size/Type: 16 characters

Employee Number

Specifies the number assigned to an employee.

Rule String: N/A

Size/Type: 512 characters

Employee Type

Specifies the job category of an employee.

Rule String: N/A

Size/Type: 256 characters

Note: The Employee Id, Employee Number, Employee Type, are non-standard attributes. The attributes are available in the Active Directory schema, however they are not displayed on the Active Directory Users and Computers console by default. For more information, see your Active Directory administrator.
